The National Clinical Assessment Service (NCAS) brings expertise to the resolution of concerns about professional practice in doctors, dentists and pharmacists.
NCAS is entering a period of significant change where, following the publication of the Arm’s Length Body Review (Liberating the NHS), NCAS will move to a self funding business model. This transition that will be achieved while continuing to provide the services set out in its directions and through a period of interim hosting within the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE).
This permanent post would be within the Business Support team which is led by the Associate Director for Business Planning and Development. The role is a stand alone communications role within NCAS but will have the support of colleagues across the organisation, particularly within Information and Knowledge Management, Education, and Project Support.
The role will involve the development and implementation of NCAS’ communication strategy and the provision of specialist communications support, including public affairs, relationship management, and media management.
You will be a self-motivated communications professional with experience at a senior level in similar roles, while ideally your experience should be in the NHS or a similar organisation the role will require experience in private and public sector communication styles. You should have significant experience in supporting major organisational changes, and should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills both within organisations and with customers and stakeholders.
